Accessibility Statement

How AfroLegal is working to keep the website usable for as many people as possible, including people using assistive technology.

Last updated: 10 March 2026

1. Commitment

AfroLegal is committed to providing a website that is usable, understandable, and reasonably accessible across modern devices, browsers, and assistive technologies.

2. Accessibility approach

We aim to follow good practice aligned with WCAG 2.2 Level AA where reasonably achievable for this site.

  • Semantic HTML structure and a consistent heading hierarchy.
  • Keyboard-accessible navigation and interactive controls.
  • A visible skip link to jump directly to page content.
  • Text and interface contrast designed for readability.
  • Responsive layouts intended to work across desktop and mobile viewports.
  • Descriptive labels on forms and actionable controls.

3. Current status

We review the public site during ongoing development, but we have not yet completed a formal independent accessibility audit of every page and user journey. Some issues may still exist, particularly where third-party tools or embedded provider flows are involved.

4. Known limitations

  • Third-party payment pages and future provider widgets may not match the accessibility standard of the core site.
  • Some editorial images may depend on supplied source material and may vary in clarity or composition.
  • As new CMS-managed content is added, accessibility quality depends on the content entered and reviewed.

5. Reporting a barrier

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, contact us with the page URL, the issue you experienced, the device or assistive technology you were using, and what outcome you were trying to achieve. We will review the report and prioritise a practical fix.

6. Ongoing improvement

Accessibility is treated as an ongoing quality requirement rather than a one-off task. We will continue to refine templates, content patterns, and provider integrations as the platform grows.
